Change of Direction
So,
Its been a long week of getting little done. all because of something nagging at me.
Now that its been some time since ive shared my idea with you all, its become obvious that the game isnt that, fun.
Be that, its not the end of the world, its actually just the begging, a new chapter of development that will make the game better. Its infact the best chance for any outside in ideas to effect the final product, so dont be shy am share!
So, down to business.
What am i changing? Not all that much.
Except the entire flow of the game, hopefully, what i imagined will still exist. The sense, of Evolution, struggle, domination of your enviroment.
But with alot more to do;
A new resource system: begone with food, Organics are now your sustenance, you'll still get them like food, but now you get to spend it in many ways. and its much easier to get.
RTS mechanics: Now, buy bugs at a whim, if an enemy threatens your hive, rush some warriors, or perhaps your works are not reaching the food, scouts are your option.
Reworked Evolution: Here is the painful part for me, im taking the random nature away, no more RNG for now. Instead a tech tree, you want your bugs to evolve jump now? you need to get the requirements. And certain paths will block each other, no longer can you be a godly bug Prime, no speed and strength, you want to be a tank that does alot of damage, you will loose out on those important agility traits like being able to jump.
